Bible Memory Challenge is dedicated to producing topical laminated Bible flashcard sets in the King James Version of the Bible.
What We Believe
We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)
We believe that God’s Word, both Old and New Testament are inspired by the Holy Ghost and are profitable for doctrine. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe that a person can only be saved from eternal damnation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
Our Attitude Towards God's Word
God’s Word is life to our soul and Health to all our flesh. My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. (Proverbs 4:20-22)
God’s Word is like precious treasure! I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil. (Psalm 119:162)
God’s Word is very pure and WE LOVE IT! Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. (Psalm 119:140)
God’s Word has the power to sanctify and cleanse us. That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word . . . . (Ephesians 5:26)
God’s Word is Truth! Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. (John 17:17)
God’s sheep listen to God’s Words. He that is of God heareth God’s words. (John 8:47) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life. (John 10:27-28a)
God’s Word is Light! Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Psalms 119:105)
Hearing God’s Word increases our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ! So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
God’s Word is absolutely vital to please God! But without faith it is impossible to please him: (Hebrews 11:6)
Memorizing the Bible will help us to not sin against God. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Psalm 119:11)
God’s Word will judge in the last day! He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. (John 12:48)
God’s Word is eternal. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. (Mark 13:31)
It is not good to be without the knowledge of God’s Word. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: (Hosea 4:6a)
God’s Word is a wonderful counselor for every situation. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. (Psalms 33:11) This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working. (Isaiah 28:29)
God’s Word is just as true and relevant today, as it was thousands of years ago. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. (Psalm 100:5)
Born again Christians have a spiritual body that needs to eat and drink God’s Word to stay alive, strong and healthy! There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (1 Corinthians 15:44)
Feed the Sheep with God's Word
God's Word is Bread. Man Shall Not Live By Bread Alone, but by every Word of God (Matthew 4:4)
God’s Word is Honey. My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off. (Proverbs 24:13-14)
God’s Word is Water. That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word . . . . (Ephesians 5:26)
God’s Word is Milk. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. (1 Peter 2:2)
God’s Word is Strong Meat. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (Hebrews 5:14)
Eating God’s Word will bring joy and rejoicing into your heart. Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
